Deactivate & Reactivate Apps

Did you know that can you can simply “deactivate” an app (while keeping your settings the same) and then “reactivate” it again at a later time? The alternative, of course, is to have to actually uninstall an app and reinstall it between uses.

There are plenty of examples when deactivating an app makes more sense than uninstalling it. For instance, let’s say you just completed a prize drawing using the Win It app and it no longer makes sense to accept entries. The logical thing to do would be to simply deactivate the Win It tab from your sidebar until the next time you organize a sweepstakes.  This same line of thinking can be applied for the Coupon Offer, Workshop and Free Download apps among others.

Here’s a quick step-by-step instructional for how to deactivate and/or reactivate apps on your custom Facebook page from Ripe Social.
